International R&D Investment Projects

Technology Bonds Programme with FUNDECYT, funded by the CDTI for anyone who provides consultancy services to Extremaduran companies within the context of undertaking projects of the 7th Framework Programme. Similarly, Individual Strategic Plans are prepared for companies that carry out R&D activities.

7th Framework Programme

  • Preparation of Coordination and Support Activity for the Energy call FP7-Energy-2007-2-TREN, and participation as partner. Activity entitled: “Awareness for the use of Thermal Solar Energy - MOBSOLEN”.

  • Preparation of Coordination and Support Activity for the Regions of Knowledge call FP7-2007-REGIONS-2007-1, and participation as partner. Activity entitled: “Analysis of Thermal Solar Energy and Development of Strategic Agendas for Research - REG-SHOLTEN”.

  • Technical Assistance for the company, Laboratorios Larrasa, S.L. in the preparation of a small-to-medium scale collaborative project for the Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Biotechnology call FP7-KBBE-2007-1 – entitled: “New strategies for sustainable animal production in the EU: introduction of “omicas” technologies” for the genetic characterisation of bovine tuberculosis resistance - bTBGeneCheck”.

National R&D Investment Projects

  • Technical Assistance for the company, Coveless Ingeniería, S.L.L. in the preparation of a proposal for the NEOTEC Initiative for support of establishment of technology-based companies, 2007.

  • Technical Assistance for the company, Formuladores Agroquímicos Extremeños, S.A.L. in the preparation of a cooperation Project with the University of Extremadura, Science Faculty, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry for the National Environmental Sciences and Technologies Programme, 2007. Project entitled: “The Preparation of activated coal using abundant prime materials located in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. Utilisation as an absorbent in the removal of complex herbicides”.

  • Technical Assistance for the company, Coveless Ingeniería, S.L.L. in the preparation of a proposal for cooperation with the Cork, Wood and Coal Institute, and preparation of the support package for the PROFIT 2006 Programme for Industrial Development entitled: “Method and Electronic device for suberofelodermic layer detection without damage to cork trees, hence making use of only one contact electrode”.

  • Technical Assistance for the company, Ingeniería de Energía y Medio Ambiente, S.L. (Ingema) in the preparation of a proposal for the PROFIT 2006 Programme, Energy, entitled: “Development of a Dual-axis  Hydraulic Solar Monitoring System”.

  • Technical Assistance for the company, I Troil Vegas Altas, S. Coop. in the preparation of a proposal for the PROFIT 2006 Programme, Energy, entitled: “Viability Analysis of the Solar Drying of industrial bio-waste in order to efficiently treat and revaluate it  – SOLBIS”.

  • Technical Assistance for the company, Coveless Ingeniería, S.L.L. in the preparation of a support package for Regional Plan project for R&D Investment in Extremadura, Act 160/2001 (Promotion of Competitiveness and Business Innovation) 2006, entitled:“New Electronic Cork Thickness gage - COVELESS".

European Projects:

Intelligent Energy Europe Programme

  • With DEPAEX as coordinator, preparation of project proposal, 2007 entitled: “Overcoming Market Barriers for Solar Refrigeration – SolarCool”.

  • With DEPAEX as coordinator, preparation of project proposal, 2007 entitled: “Intelligent Energy Local Distribution Activity - IntELDA”.

  • Participation as partner and regional coordinator in Spain for the SOLCAMP “Energía Solar para Campings” Solar Energy for Camp sites, project.

Cultural Programme 2007 - 2013

  • Technical Assistance to the town of La Salle (Italy) in the preparation of a proposal entitled: “Dialogue between European Religions, Culture and Youth”.

III Interreg Programme C

Technical Assistance to ENERAREA (Regional Agency for National Energy and Environment - Cova da Beira, Portugal) in its participation in two projects (2005 – 2008):

  • SUFALNET Project “Network for sustainable use of abandoned dump sites".

  • IUWMM Project “Integrated Model for Solid Urban Waste Management”.

Youth Programme

  • Technical Assistance to ADICOMT (Association for the Integral Development of the Region of Miajadas – Trujillo) in management and support package entitled: “Network for Youths working in Local Development”.

Previous Projects:

  • DIKE Project “Activities for the improvement in assistance to victims of crime” (AGIS Programme). DEPAEX was a regional partner for this Project.

  • BIOeTRAIN Project “Development of an e-learning University for Bio energy” (Socrates Programme – Minerva). DEPAEX was a regional partner for this Project.

  • STEP-FORWARD Project “Promotion of Thermal Solar Energy for the development of Renewable Energy”. DEPAEX was a regional partner for this Project.

  • Organisation of a Study Tourfor civil servants from the region of South Moravia (Czech Republic) for the study of good practices in project management in the Tourism industry. This was financed using European Union Funds (September 2006.

  • MINERES Project “Sustainable Restoration of Mini-hydroelectric Plants (LIFE Programme). DEPAEX rendered technical assistance to the University of Extremadura, Thermal Motors and Machines Division.
